Eve was born with a rare life threatening liver disease called Biliary Atresia. She had major life saving surgery at 12 weeks old called the Kasai Procedure. This surgery saved her life and has been successful so far alongside a cocktail of daily medications,frequent hospital visits and procedures. After 6 years,Eve’s liver is becoming quite unhappy and the subsequent conditions she has developed alongside the Biliary Atresia are starting to become too much for her body to cope with so she has now been put on the transplant list for a liver transplant. This in itself has taken a huge toll on the whole family with the uncertainty of what the next day will bring and when that phone call will come that will give Eve her gift of life.

Throughout all of this,Grace has been an amazing big sister to Eve. She has coped fantastically and the love she shows for Eve blows us away.

Grace’s hair is now long enough that it reaches the top of her thighs so this is a huge moment for her!! (And us!) Cutting her hair was completely Grace’s idea. She wants to donate her hair to The Little Princess Trust who will turn the hair into wigs for children and also to collect sponsorship money to “help children with poorly livers”

We have decided to work this event in with the CLDF’s annual Big Yellow Friday. Grace will be having her hair cut off at school and has made a pact with Daddy and her headteacher Mr Jones that she can shave their hair if she cuts hers! Hoping to get some other willing volunteers too at the school gates! 😂

Grace has set the donation goal herself,so I’m hoping that we can help her to get as close to possible to her total!
