UPDATE: POST-RUN. I finished the run in 69 minutes without stopping (and that was with under 2 weeks of training). This was one of the most emotional and rewarding events I have been involved in, running with 25, 000 other runners, all of us running for our beloved charities. I remembered the kids and your generous donations while running. Please continue to sponsor generously, thanks :-).
UPDATE 11PM, 10/7/10: Just one sleep to go and am fully trained and carbed up -salmon and wholewheat pasta and bread with salad and fruit for dinner:-). Did another 5k trial and a pre-work run yesterday along the river. Can't wait! You will all be on my mind when I run and thanks to mum and Dinah for coming along to support me! Looking forward to post run celebrations and GBK!
UPDATE 6/7/10: 5 days to go. Did my 10k trial run on Saturday night without stopping. Have ended up needing physio treatment which has left me bruised and with tape plastered across my knee-tight IT joint whatever that means but planning on training again tonight along the river and with more physio will be fit for Sunday. All this for the kids, they deserve it :-).
UPDATE: Saz did a 6k run in her local park this week and is looking forward to her 10k trial run this weekend, can't wait! Also I am throwing in for good measure and fitness my local running club and small trial runs next week after work :-).

As you are all aware when I leave my office on Tuesdays I go to work at a Youth Helpline where I answer calls from distressed youth…these calls vary…service users are often suicidal, rape or physical abuse victims…and they need our help and support to continue to live their lives safely and contently.
I will be running the 10K for MYH on 11th July alongside 1000s of other who will be treading the streets of to raise money for charity. MY charity is MYH, a charity set up by the community for the community.
A donation any size makes a difference to the youths that MYH helps. £5 from your pockets covers the cost of a 45 minute call from someone contemplating suicide. £5 is what we are most likely going to spend on lunch today. Help us to help save a life today.
MYH appreciate all the help given by donors and supporters, in order to continue the work we do we need the communities help to keep us going.
