Our team "Saw 3 Dodos" is a mix of friends, family and colleagues, based all over the globe, of two keen birders and former colleagues, Shaun and Stephanie. We thought it would be fun to see how many different species we could record on the Global Bird Weekend (17-18 October), helping to celebrate biodiversity and encourage people to get out and explore. The name is a bit of fun but also has a more serious undertone - so many birds could easily go the way of the dodo if we don't sit up and take action. So we are also trying to raise a bit of money to support BirdLife International's Stop Illegal Bird Trade.

Given that the illegal trade in wildlife was a main factor contributing to the current Covid crisis, it is also a timely campaign to contribute to, not only for the birds...
