We help people with ME/CFS to understand and survive their illness

Story

As a result of Glandular Fever, I was diagnosed with M.E at the age of 14 to then experience both mental and physical exhaustion, continuous painful and achy muscles, never ending headaches and ever changing temperatures alongside a consistent inability to concentrate or think clearly. However, although these symptoms made a large period of my adolescence extremely physically and emotionally challenging, I would say the aspect in which brought me the most frustration was the blatant lack of understanding as to what a cruel and life changing illness M.E really is, alongside the persistent misunderstanding regarding how difficult a condition it is to cope with on a daily basis.

This is why, now I am feeling much stronger through the support of my incredible friends and family alongside much patience and persistence, I wish to inspire people suffering through the same as I have, and often much worse, by climbing England's largest mountain in order to provide them with the knowledge they will one day be physically active again too.

In addition, I am also extremely keen to raise as much money as possible in order to fund the life-changing biomedical research into the physical nature and causes of M.E. Due to a lack of in-depth knowledge regarding how to cure or effectively treat M.E, I was never provided with a clear cut answer as to how to manage the condition, nor could I be told when I would recover. This is why I aim to raise as much money as possible in hope to develop more effective and successful treatments and management techniques to help finally win the battle against M.E.

This will be my biggest physical challenge since having M.E (if not ever!!) so I would greatly appreciate ANY contribution to help improve the lives of the thousands of people who are living with this debilitating illness.

Thank you so much!
