To mark international women's day I am running into the freezing cold sea to raise funds for victims and survivors of domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking. I am also dragging along my husband - Lee - although he is Arctic Warfare trained so his effort is nada compared to mine ;-) 

The sea temperature in March is approx. 8 degrees - 6 degrees is considered freezing!

Survivors live every day, isolated and terrified. I want to raise awareness and raise funds for them.

- Two women a week are murdered at the hands of a current or former partner in England and Wales (ONS, 2018)

- 20% of women and 4% of men have experienced sexual violence since the age of 16 (CSEW- 2017)

- 1 in 5 women and 1 in 10 men will experience stalking in their lifetime (Home Office, 2011)
