Story
This September, we've decided to take on the CRAZY challenge of cycling from Blackpool Tower to the Eiffel Tower to raise funds for Blackpool Carers Centre.
The challenge itself is 450 miles over 5 days and together we have 1 average at best cyclist (Cara) who is still mastering how to ride without stabilisers, and 1 distinctly below average cyclist (Sian) who has yet to purchase a bike (bets are open for how soon she'll be in tears).
Those of you who know us will know that Blackpool Carers Centre is a charity that is close to both of our hearts. For this reason, we've set our sights high with a fundraising target of £4000.
This is a challenge that requires a LOT of training and is pushing both of us out of our comfort zones so please dig deep, and #PrayForTheRods. __________________________________________________________________________
About the Charity
Blackpool Carers Centre supports unpaid Carers of all ages, from 5 up to 105 (yes...there are Young Carers out there as young as 5!)
Unpaid Carers are family members who are providing care to another member of their family. It may be a wife providing care to her disabled husband due to a debilitating illness, a dad providing care to his child born with a disability, a husband taking care of his wife with dementia or a daughter taking care of her mum who is battling with mental health issues or addiction.
The charity supports families through some of the toughest of times. They give much needed respite away from caring roles, provide activities that allow families to make happy memories together, give practical and financial advice... and they do it all without judgement, and with an extra dose of TLC!_________________________________________________________________________
Please support this amazing cause by donating on our page. Every single penny goes towards making a 'Better Life for Carers'.
Thank you!
