I am the Headteacher of South Wirral High School. We have always had close links to Claire House because it has supported so many familes connected to our school.

I have two other motivations.

Firstly, my mother Rita Goodwin, was supported by her local hospice for many years before her death, so i know from personal experience what an incredible job hospices do.

Secondly, as my year 11 students prepare for the biggest challenge of their lives, i have given myself a similar marathon challenge. If they can meet their target then so can I.
