The Lake District is very close to our hearts and the place where I proposed to Beth. The Search and Mountain Rescue team do a fantastic job across all of the District. We have seen them in action in atrocious conditions.

They are completely voluntary and are prepared to go out and help people in any weather, any day of the year.
