Story
Simon was diagnosed with myeloma when he was only 36 years old - our daughters were only 7 months and 23 months. For 14 years he bravely fought this horrendous disease, always pushing through the debilitating pain and setbacks suffered with each relapse. This 4th relapse was the worst because the drugs he needed were only available for newly diagnosed patients. On 19th February 2016 he was told that he needed urgent treatment - however, the chemotherapy was no longer funded under the Cancer Drugs Fund. His disease was too advanced for the first trial we tried to get him on and unfortunately the second trial came too late and on 18th April we were told he only had weeks; the reality was 10 days. Please donate towards finding a cure for this cruel and desperately painful cancer - at the end he had tumours in his spine, skull, pelvis and ribs causing dreadful pain. He was the most amazing man, so talented, loved by everyone who knew him, an incredible father and the best husband ever. Our hearts are broken irrevocably but we are grateful for the time we had with him and want to raise as much money as we can so no other family has to go through this nightmare.
