Story

Hi ! We’ve decided to get our act together and attempt an Olympic Triathlon in Barcelona on 7th October for the LT Dougie Dalzell MC Memorial Trust. This challenge is inclusive of a 1.5 km swim followed by 40 km bike and then a 10 km run. Starting our training at the beginning of July, we might be seen hopping, skipping and jumping into the Lidos for a 6.30 am dip in glorious sunshine or mounting our bikes for an evening burst round Richmond Park. Now the days are getting short, the water is fresh, the Park is dark, the training is relentless and our muscles are... massive (!!).

Being both fairly reluctant ‘athletes’, we are grasping inspiration from Dougie’s immense application, passion and dedication as a person as well as the prospect now of supporting the Dalzell family and the amazing work of DDMT. These factors are helping us try to sort out our attitudes, switch off the snooze button and get fit!

Please push us on through to race day by donating to this incredible cause which is very close to both of us. For further information about Dougie and DDMT please scroll down or visit the DDMT website at:

Thanks so much in advance.
