Hey folks. Let me thank you first of all for visiting my "Justgiving" web page. In February 2013 I will be trekking to the summit of the highest free standing mountain in the world, Mount Kilimanjaro!!!! (Also known as the roof of Africa!!) The trek itself will take seven days it will test both physical and mental strength. The biggest challenge will be coping with the change in altitude (5,895 metres) and the effect that this will have on the body!!! What will be driving me forward to reach the top of the mountain is the charity that I am raising money for and how much it will benefit people suffering with Leukaemia. My aim is to raise a minimum of £10,000 for the Leukaemia Society, a charity which is close to my heart, having seen friends and family suffer with the illness over the years. The charity is dedicated to ensuring that people with blood cancer survive and have the best possible quality of life. Your donation will go towards the recruitment of volunteer bone marrow donors, research, education and patient care. Please donate what ever you can and help me towards reaching my £5,000 target.
