Story
This last year I have been working as a support worker for a community house in Cardiff which supports young adults with mental health, learning disabilities and challenging behaviour.
During this time, and through the lockdowns, I have been teaching some of the service users about spray paint, colour and form by painting murals together. It was a great success and we began to paint murals for various places in Cardiff including shop shutters, back lanes and co working spaces.
I have also initiated and led other community arts projects including working with organizations who support people with autism also people who are homeless.
All the proceeds from these projects will go to Hafal, a mental health charity based in South Wales. They do amazing work with the community and supporting the local area in area of mental health. The last year has been a really tough one and continues to be challenging so I belive that this charity and others like it need our support through this difficult time.
