Story
Thank you so much for visiting our Just Giving Page! Please take a minute to read our story and support us :-)
Kat & I have volunteered to run the London Marathon 2017 for MNDA. As some of you may know, in April 2015 my step dad, William, who is very close to me was diagnosed with MND and was told he has 5 years to live. MNDA is the only UK registered charity that supports people with MND, they have been amazing for William and we want to make sure they are able to continue doing the same for other families and individuals.
MND is a terminal illness that attacks the brain and spinal cord which leads to weakness and muscle wasting. 6 People are diagnosed every day and currently there is no cure.
Our dream is to raise as much money as we can to contribute to research and find a cure. Plus, as most of you know, we're both a bit crazy, so spontaneously thought; why not?! it's only 26 miles...
We've got lots of training ahead of us, lots of aching muscles, minor injuries, plenty of new trainers, some serious friendship bonding, oh and laughs and fun, right?! :-)
We would be very grateful for any donations for our cause, thanks for reading and wish us luck!
