I have set myself the challenge of running the 2021 Brighton Marathon. I am doing this to raise money for the Imperial Health Major Trauma Unit where I was rushed to on 22nd March 2017 after being run over by a terrorist on Westminster Bridge.
I suffered life threatening injuries and underwent several operations and physio sessions to help me walk again, all under the care of Imperial Health.
It's been a mentally and physically challenging few years trying to deal with the impact of that day and ultimately I know I would not be here or have the willpower to take on this challenge without those incredible, selfless individuals who are part of Imperial Health.
I made myself a promise when I was lying in the hospital bed after I had surgery to save my left leg...That I would not waste this gift, I would walk, run and do what I can to give back and support the Major Trauma Unit that helped and cared for me and countless others.
Please share and give if you can to support me in raising money for this great cause.
Thank you.
