I've pledged to raise £2,850 for the children's cancer charity CLIC Sargent, though I'll be doing my best to make it more than that! Every day 10 children and young people in the UK hear the shocking news they have cancer. CLIC provides clinical, practical, financial and emotional support to help them and their families cope with cancer and get the most out of life.

I'm afraid a ghastly flu-like virus meant I didn't make Rajasthan this year, but thank you for everyone's support for Clic Sargent, it has been a great help. Unfortunately for you all I intend to do the bike ride in 2014 and raise funds for the Marlets hospice in Hove... so more cakes and books all round XXX
