St Peter's Life-Line is a small, grass-roots charity working in a marginalised, impoverished, drought-prone area of Kenya. We: educate vulnerable children, support schools, eradicate FGM, run micro finance for women, feed primary school children, care for the disabled. We are completely pro bono.

Story

St Peter's Life-Line is a small, grass-roots charity, working in the impoverished, drought-prone area of Kajuki, in rural Kenya.  Survival in this fragile subsistence economy depends entirely on the twice-yearly rains to grow their daily food.  The April/May rains failed, meaning food prices are rising and St Peter's Scholl may have to close prematurely due to financial pressures.

The next rains aren't due until October/November and in the meantime the St Peter's Life-Line feeding program is essential to provide a simple, daily, nutritious lunch to over 1,500 pupils in seven local primary schools.  The impact of the program is huge: encouraging attendance; improving attention; enhancing learning and improving the health of the pupils and their families.

Just £20 provides all these benefits to one child for a whole school year.  I'll be digging VERY deep to keep running/walking for 24 hours - can you dig even deeper to support this community in dire times?
