Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In September, 2017, my great friend, Sophie, gave birth to the most gorgeous little boy, George. Sophie had a horrendous labour and was left really poorly, and very quickly, it became apparent that George was very poorly too.

George was rushed into emergency surgery and at a very early age, he was given a tracheotomy to enable him to breathe.

As George has now celebrated his first Birthday, faced even more operations and had his tracheotomy removed, it is an enormous testament to his strength of character, and the love shown by his family and the medical staff to make a difference.

During George's early months, Sophie and her husband, Ritchie were taught all manner of complex medical procedures (including child CPR), that they might need to carry out on their beloved son, there were also more regular procedures that they needed to be trained on, for day to day living - such as changing George's Tracheotomy, or clearing the mucus from his windpipe, which can be needed every couple of minutes. All of this important training was delivered in corridors, in staff rooms, wherever there was space.

Sophie & Ritchie want to do something to say thank you for George's ongoing care - and have decided to fund a dedicated parents room at the hospital, where parents/guardians can be trained in these complex procedures in a calm and quiet environment. They will have the time and space to understand exactly what they need to do, and have time to ask any questions they have of the medical staff.

I'm not up to running a marathon (or even a half marathon!) and I'm too much of a wimp to jump out of a plane (I'll leave that to George's Aunty Katy), but what I can do is to help businesses with their social media - so I am offering a social media audit - which will highlight any tricks that you're missing, any ways that you might get more business - it's a handy quick fix guide, and it's yours - for just a £35 donation towards George's Room. {Feel free to make a larger donation if you're able to, I'd love to get George's total reached as quickly as possible}

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
