Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page

I was diagnosed with the bulbar onset form of motor neurone disease in November 2015.  This means my speech and swallowing were the first things affected. It also means the prognosis is particularly bad for this form of MND.  I can't really speak at all now and rely on writing or an app called Predictable but apparently, for now, I look really healthy!

I got Predictable to play with it before I needed it but not everyone can do that.  I was also able to bank my voice in January so the app can speak in my voice which is fantastic.  Not my voice as it was, but still my voice.  Again, this is not something everyone can do.  But how wonderful if people could be told about it as soon as they were diagnosed.  I found out about voice banking through an MND forum.  It was not something any professional mentioned to me and that can't be right.

Any cure will come too late for me but just imagine if a cure could be found and people in the future could benefit from it.  It isn't just funding a cure you can help with by supporting MND Scotland, it is also support for everyone in Scotland who has the disease.  This is NOT the same for everyone in Scotland.  I don't live in the central belt so I am further from support but it IS there. 

Please please help me raise money for MND Scotland so they really can support everyone in the county with MND, and hopefully fund a cure due to the amazing research already going on.
