I have known 3 people who have died, and 2 people who have survived cancer. I am thankful to say that one of the survivors is my Dad.
Being affected by cancer makes you look at your life in a different way. So I thought I'd challenge myself by taking part in a hiking marathon, 26.6 miles along the stunning south coast from Brighton to Eastbourne. Also, the Hike is 2 days before my 40th birthday and need to prove to myself I can do it!
Starting early we pick up the South Downs Way National Trail to Alfriston, before heading south and following the coastal path above the white cliffs in Seven Sisters Country Park. Our route passes over Beachy Head, the highest chalk sea cliff in Britain, providing jaw dropping views, before descending into Eastbourne and the finish. See my pic of the route.
