Fundraising for Winston's Wish
Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. This will be our third "Three men and a tent" adventure (www.threemenandatent.com) and by far our boldest so far.
On May 11 2019 at exactly midday Marc, Dan and I will head off on our bikes from Trafalgar Square in London, head for the southern coast, pick up an overnight ferry crossing and then cycle on through Northern France to Paris and the Eiffel Tower, across the Alps via the infamous Alpe D'Huez then on into Italy Turin, Modena, Florence, Siena and finally Rome where will finish by cycling under the Constantine Arch outside the Coliseum.
We are quite frequently asked why we have chosen Winston’s Wish as our charity and the most straightforward and honest answer is simply that they do the most amazing, inspiring work to support young children who suffer the devastating loss of a parent or sibling. If you have witnessed or experienced the difference that Winston’s Wish makes it’s really hard to imagine a more deserving, impactful or heart-warming cause.
The more personal reason is that on 25 April 1980 Nick’s parents, Janet and Paul White, lost their lives in a plane crash on Tenerife. It was their first ever holiday away alone since they were married. Nick was 12 and his younger brothers, Andrew and Neil were 9 and 5.
You have all been so incredibly generous with your donations so far but I am afraid yes we are of course going to ask you to donate again. Our aim has always been to raise £10,000 for the amazing Winston's Wish . We are at around 7k right now) and so this is our big push to get to that final figure....we really need your help!
