Event: Brindleyplace Dragon Boat Race 2018, on 16 June 2018
Participants: Sam, Kathy, Jaclyn, Lydia, Claire, Linda, Jess, Helena, Jo, Sheng, Trish & Karmen
On Saturday June 16th 2018, businesses across the West Midlands will battle it out on the canals of Brindleyplace in traditional Chinese Dragon Boats to raise funds for Cure Leukaemia.

Story

We work on the Day Unit at the Centre for Clinical Haematology at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. This world class facility was redeveloped in 2017 thanks to funding from the GBSLEP and Cure Leukaemia and it allowing us to deliver much-improved care to our patients.

For that reason we are delighted to be representing Cure Leukaemia in their boat for this year's Brindleyplace Dragon Boat Race on June 16th. We can't wait for former footballer, blood cancer patient and Cure Leukaemia Patron Geoff Thomas to captain us on the day and we look forward to raising funds towards this great event.

I'm sure the patients who come to the centre week in, week out will be keen to support us as we try to hit our target. Please do give what you can and help Team CCH hit our target before June 16th!

A huge thank you from us all,

Team CCH x

Cure Leukaemia

Cure Leukaemia helps blood cancer patients to access pioneering drug and transplant treatments by funding a network of specialist research nurses across the UK. Without these nurses, to ensure patients are monitored and cared for, clinical trials of these new treatments would not run and patients, that have exhausted standard treatment options, would miss out on potentially lifesaving therapies. Every penny raised for Cure Leukaemia helps save lives and also hastens global progress towards the eradication of all forms of blood cancer.
