Story
We are trying to raise money for specialist equipment that is needed to help children with cancer be closely monitored by the fantastic nurses on Kamran's Ward. At this point in time there is a shortage of this equipment. Because of this children (including our son Harry) are not always able to be given certain medicines overnight as they cannot be regularly monitored.
The reason why this is so close to our heart is that in November 2016 our families life was turned upside down by Harry being diagnosed with Burkitt's Lymphoma. He has been undergoing intense chemotherapy to kill off the tumour and has been made very unwell as a result. For a few nights he was unable to be comfortable because we was not allowed to have extra medicines due to the fact there was not the equipment available to allow the nurses to monitor his vital signs overnight.
Unfortunately there is a lack of these monitors on the ward. We would like to help raise money to go someway towards helping fund these monitors.
We plan initially to kick start the fundraising by doing a Head Shave. So Myself, Terry Beamson, Daniel and Brandon Prenzel and Ron Newman will be trying to raise funds.
Thank you for your support.
