Story
Team Boxfit are privileged to support Beating Bowel Cancer.
Throughout 2016/2017 we will be entering events to raise awareness and money.
Taking on the iconic London marathon are the largest group of Boxfit runners to date: Dave Coard (GFA), Ross Finlay (Boxfit Club place), Rachel Finlay (Charity place), Paul Halford (GFA), Noel Keenan (Ballot), Paula Nicol (GFA), Eamon Deighon (GFA), Steve Kelly (Ballot), Martin Kidney (Charity place), Greer Kidney (Charity place), Sarah Halford (Charity place), Colin Moore (Charity place), Gary Smith (Charity place) and Mario Yates (Charity place). We are very proud that everyone started and finished the Marathon and showed true strength of character.
Grant Bartlett will be taking part in the Thames Ultra on the 27th May 2017. The event is a 55K Stand Up Paddle Board Race. Grant has never paddled this distance before; starting from Marlow and finishing 34 miles past Hampton Court Palace, the race will see Grant contending with 13 locks, boat traffic and plenty of angry swans. Grant will need to carry food and drink with him to replenish the energy used to paddle for approx. 7-8 hours. The charity is very close to Grant's heart and he appreciates any donations received in supporting his challenge.
James Cardwell is racing the Woburn Half Iron distance on the 10th September 2016. This is James’ first ever triathlon so it is a massive challenge, we will keep you updated with his progress. Completed in a cracking time of 6 hours, 40 minutes and 59 seconds!!
If you would like to support our chosen Charity, please help by sponsoring our Boxfit members.
Thank you, Dave Coard.
