We support Norfolk's bereaved children to help bring back smiles

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

This summer, the senior Brun brothers (Christian and Theo) are the official Team Brun!   We will be competing in the Norfolk Superhero 2014 event, mainly in order to keep our brother Alexis in his place - and off the podium.  The event is a quadrathlon involving swimming, kayaking, cycling and running over vast distances around the North Norfolk coast.

We are doing this for many reasons - but the best one is to raise money for a fantastic local charity called Nelson's Journey - named after the real-life Norfolk superhero, Admiral Horatio Nelson.  This charity does brilliant work supporting bereaved children and young people in the county.

It is based in Norwich, and was founded in 1997, since when they have helped hundreds of children between the age of 0 to 17, who have experienced the death of a significant person in their life, for example, a parent or sibling.

We really hope you are able to support us in reaching our target of £3,000.

Christian is training extremely hard in Hong Kong, and with his expertise in out-rigger paddling, we are (or at least Theo is) expecting an easy ride in the kayak.  Meanwhile, Theo is at least training.

So the Brun show-down is set up for June 21st!  Theo suspects that it will all come down to whether he can shift some of those love-handles in the meantime.

(Oh, and there'll be some other teams competing too...)

Thank you so much for supporting us!
