It's Myles and Victoria here, and we're attempting the Jailbreak challenge to raise money for RISE.

Domestic abuse is any type of abuse that occurs in the home, whether it be physical, sexual, psychological, emotional or financial, and is perpetrated by a partner or someone in a close relationship to the victim.

Despite being responsible for the deaths of around 2 women per week and up to 30 men per year, domestic abuse is thought to be reported less than 24% of the time to the police. This makes it one of the most difficult crimes to provide support to victims before it is too late. RISE is a Brighton-based charity that aids victims of domestic violence through various means from giving practical advice to providing refuge for worst case scenarios.

The challenge is that we have 36 hours to get as far from our university as possible by not using our own money and relying on the kindness of strangers!

It costs £4567 a year for RISE to provide all their services so all donations are welcome! Remember, a simple £10 could pay for a helpline phone call to save a life, so donate what you can and tell your friends, my dudes!!
