We provide the support needed to give homeless young people a future

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. This is going to be long so please keep reading to the end!! Last year we were staggered by the generosity of our supporters so feel that we just have to do it all again and we really want to smash last years £10k out of the park and can only do that with your help!

Slightly different team this year and we are being joined by some of our senior team (not just senior in age!)....Jamie Crowther (who assures me he snores and will keep us all awake - dont worry I will provide ear plugs)....Anthony Masterson (king of our BMW division and currently in the running to be my favourite franchise director of all time) and putting in an appearance from the JLR division we have John Ford from our Bedford dealership.....what could possibly go wrong. Representing Head Office we have Katie Williams (no sleep out could be complete without Katie)...Hannah Logan (if she can ever fix Select HR), Caroline Heaver (comedy gold), Lora Elton (got to have HSE), and some new team members who assure me they will absolutely be committed to raising as much money as they can ....Marisa Parfitt (who you all know and love, or should as she runs payroll like a military operation), Michelle Swann (top bird and possibly Oscar the cat), and another Marshall legend, Debbie Cousins (as we need someone from accounts to count all the money you lovely people are going to donate!), Kylie Mitchell (who wont help you with your ATRs unless you sponsor her) and me (always a delight!) For the first time we are being joined by two of our Marshall Colleagues from Hook....so a warm team welcome to Chloe Prince and Jack MacDonald our MINI Champions.

Why Centrepoint?

Centrepoint is the UK's leading charity for homeless young people - but what does that actually mean? It means that they support 10,000 young people every year. They help 16-25 year olds into a safe place to live, give them a health assessment and plan support for their individual mental and physical health needs. They start them on a path to more independence and a job.

A safe, warm and stable place to live is the first, crucial step for every homeless young person. Then, they help to tackle physical and mental health issues, teach basic life skills and get them back into education, training or a job – this is the recipe for supporting homeless young people into positive and independent living.

The stats for homeless young people are shocking. Research revealed that in 2017/18, an estimated 103,000 young people approached their local authority because they were homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Dig deep people....!

Thank you xx
