Following Ruth's epic skydive last year, a further team member has joined in with her aerial antics.  Ruth and Eliza will be raising money for Derbyshire Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance Service.  On May 6th they will be diving off the side of the National Lift Tower and facing the fright of their lives by abseiling 400ft down.  Even with the extensive list of Terms and Conditions given by Air Ambulance, and Kevin (their boss) Ruth and Eliza are still willing to face their fears. 

The Air Ambulance Service is one of only two totally independent air rescue providers in the UK; they receive no government funding and provide three outstanding services (Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance, Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance and the Children’s Air Ambulance) entirely through the generosity of members of the public and the corporate sponsors.

The service provides a rapid response to trauma and medical emergencies over an area of 3850 square miles. They cover many of the UK’s major road networks including the M1, M6, M69 and M42. With an average response of just 13 minutes, between them they attend on average six missions a day.
