I am organising a Fun Run to raise money for Red Balloon, an organisation who support young people who self exclude or are isolated from school because of bullying or other trauma.  

After meeting someone working for the charity on a counselling course I was interested in raising money and showing my support.  I was bullied because of my weight throughout my time at Highschool and had an extremely miserable five years.  My confidence decreased and there wasn't a day that went by that I wasn't called names and made fun of.  Unfortunately I spent around a year out of education with no provision and did not get any GCSE's as a result.

Fortunately I was able to go on to gain qualifications and a degree, and I am now completing an MA. 

I hope that I can raise money to help Red Balloon continue to provide invaluable support to young people.
