Story

Dear friends! We're hitting you up for cash for one of our favourite charities again. We've done some long distance walking and you've probably, kindly, sponsored us for that. But this is different. This challenge is beyond daft.

We'll be walking 50km (31m) in 24 hours along the Thames Path from Putney to Runnymede. Neither of us have done anything like this before - this is going to be a huge challenge for both of us. Rob's never walked more than 12 miles in a day before and has a dodgy ankle. Heather's done 17m once but duffed in her knee 18 months ago and has barely walked more than a couple of miles in one go since. Rehab and training is already under way.

We're doing the challenge in memory of Heather's friend James, who died from Sudden Adult Death Syndrome in 2002 at the age of 24.

12 young people a week die of SADS and this money will go towards helping CRY screen young people and help those who have been bereaved.

If you could spare us some of your cash, prayers, and even come on the day to encourage, we'd be very grateful!

Each week at least twelve young people in the UK die suddenly as a result of undiagnosed heart conditions. At Cardiac Risk In the Young we aim to save young lives & to help those affected by the sudden cardiac death. We do this by providing support, information & screening those affected.
