I have decided to brave the shave and get rid of my mighty mat of dreads which have been growing for about 6/7 years now. It's probably been about 10 years since I had a hair cut so it will be a big shock for me.

I'm raising money for 'Orangutan 'Foundation' who are saving orangutans by protecting their tropical forest habitat, working with local communities and promoting research and education.

Their approach goes beyond that of purely protecting orangutans. It recognizes that orangutans are essential to their habitat, which is unique in its rich biodiversity and is crucial for local communities, who are as dependent on the forest as the orangutans, therefore working very hard to reforest Borneo which is crucial to the global ecosystem.

The Foundation plays an active part in international and local networks to promote the conservation of orangutans and their habitats and is on the Executive Committee of UNEP’s GREAT APES SURVIVAL PARTNERSHIP (GRASP). Orangutan Foundation work in collaboration with:
