I've decided to do this in aid of every person, myself included, who has been blighted by poor mental health.

Mental health is a huge issue and funding cuts, as well as a lack of societal openness, especially amongst men, is something that needs a massive amount of work and those suffering from poor mental health need more support. Mind are a charity who do just that and every penny goes to supporting those who need it.

I have personally suffered from depression across my life, including a longer period during university where I barely left the house for the best part of a year and across the last 12 months has seen me lose one of my favourite people in my life due to issues with her mental health. 

We are doing this as three friends of nearly 20 years, all of whom have had our struggles throughout life but have been there for each other throughout and will continue to be.

In an ideal world, every person would be free and open to discuss their mental health as we do with our physical health. Hopefully the money raised from this will go some way to helping to achieve that.
