As many of you know, I've had my trials and tribulations in the past few years, as mental illness took hold. Aside from friends and family, Mind and the Time To Change campaign played the biggest part in helping me come to terms with my bipolar disorder. They made me realise that having a mental illness is nothing to be ashamed of and that I wasn't alone. They gave me the tools to deal with my illness, and a platform to express myself. I owe them an awful lot.

I am also riding in memory of my sister, who took her own life in November 2006. Miss you Vic. 

Mental illness is nothing to be ashamed of. It's a flaw in chemistry, not character.
