With sponsorship from Hawkwell House, I decided to sign up for this organised bike ride on the basis that I wanted to help a good cause, and to achieve something special in memory of my great Aunt Audrey who died from cancer. She was a very special person and will always be close to my thoughts.

With dodgy knees - this is my replacement for a Marathon -  the 411 miles will mean 8 to 9 hours in the saddle for 4 days and that prospect is still rather alarming, but mind over matter! I've always enjoyed cycling, but I feel that this will push me to do more and keep my fitness up.
