Story

Hi guys. For most of you that know me, know it's been a tough few years. It's opened my eyes to really what matters in life. Iv loved, iv lost and most importantly learned. Id like to tell you guys what I plan on doing in 2019. I plan on climbing and skiing down the famous Mt Blanc mountain. I plan on doing this with one of my oldest friends and a true legends to this charity, Tom Pope. We all know how much this charity means to him and how much he has done and sacrificed. Tom and Emma unfortunately lost their mum Jane to the horrible disease a few years back. A woman I had the absolute pleasure in knowing my whole life. An inspirational person that showed so much strength through a horrible time. Never did I see Jane without a smile on her face and she opened my eyes to alot of things. Mt Blanc stands at an impressive 4,800m. The expedition will take roughly 4 days to complete. The weather can change in a heart beat, turning from blue skies to a complete white out with high winds. In 2014 2 climbers and their guide fell 800m to their death along one of the ridges so I assure you its no easy fete. With 23kg on our back consisting of camping equipment, skies, food and water, clothing and more. The climb to the summit will take between 8-10 hrs pure day. But once at the summit, the real battle is in the decent, as most accidents happen on the way down as the body is tired and concentration is at a low. We will be skiing from the summit down the Grand Plateau over glacier tarrain. The decent to the bottom of the valley will take roughly 4 hrs. Again after 8-10 hours of climbing a 4 hour ski over dangerous tarrain is the last thing you want. So I'm here to ask you lovely people to help me raise the money needed to achieve this monumental challenge for such a good cause! I hope to do Jane,  Emma and Tom proud. Please please help me do that.  Thanks for your time. Lots of love x
