I am running the 2017 London Marathon on behalf of the Meningitis Research Foundation not only as it does important work regarding research for the illness but also as I have been individually affected having lost a school friend, whom I had known for almost 10 years, in August 2015. As a successful athlete, our mutual love of sport brought us closer, delivering sports sessions in a local primary school weekly in which I witnessed her enthusiasm for helping others. As such, I have opted to take on the challenge of the London Marathon in memory of Ellie.

Any donations, not matter how small, will be greatly appreciated and going to a more than worthwhile cause.
