Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.
I, along with my friends Matthew Schofield, Amanda Hodgson, Debbie Andrews, Trish Malik and Joanne Starbuck are taking on a challenge to raise funds for our local Marie Curie hospice in Bradford. This is the place where my mother received such wonderful care and where she sadly passed away on 10 June 2016.
An IPSOS MORI survey shows that seven out of ten carers say that people with a terminal illness don't get the care and support they need.
Marie Curie nurses, provide home care for thousands of people with terminal illnesses
across the UK every year. The nurses also provide practical and emotional support for families and carers.
The hospice in Bradford, as with all Marie Curie Hospices, offer round-the-clock, expert care and support, in a friendly, welcoming environment, both for people staying in the hospices and those who come in for the day to use their services.
I, along with the many families throughout the UK the charity has helped, are going to be forever grateful for the love, compassion and empathy that was shown to us during our time in need. We hope the money raised will go a long way in helping the charity continue to do the wonderful job they do, every single day.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
