We come alongside people in prison to support them in transforming their lives

Story

Through prayer and practical care, Prison Fellowship (PF) seeks to help, support and develop a Christian ministry to prisoners and their families. We do this through our network of over 2,300 volunteer members across England and Wales. A range of programmes including the restorative justice course, Sycamore Tree, the Christmas present programme Angel Tree and letter writing programme Letter Link, and many more activities through Chaplaincy Support enable our local groups and members to support prisoners in prisons throughout England and Wales.

My story

My name is Valdeir Barbosa  .

Some time ago I made a terrible mistake.  I took a wrong decision to drive while under the influence of alcohol, which resulted in a tragic accident in which an innocent person lost his life.

After that I found it very difficult to come to terms with the consequence of my actions. I was fully aware from the start what the effect of my action had on the victim's family and my own family.

Out of the depth of depression came a breath of fresh air. Something that would help me to face it and turn my life around.  I started to make decorative flowers from waste plastic bottles. This led me to believe in myself and believe that I could make a difference and help charities by raising money selling my artwork.

I have great ideas and plans for the future. At the core of these plans is my wish to help others and put something back into society .

But I can’t do it without your support!

Please help my cause by buying my artwork FLOWERS (recommended minimum £20-£30, depending on the flower) or give a donation (no minimum amount - all donations welcome).  You can choose a flower from the photos at the bottom of this page .

Life can be difficult when things outside our control disturb our emotional equilibrium, but without mistakes we wouldn't know how to do things properly.  I believe sharing my experience with others may help them to understand that sometimes the worst things that happen in our lives can make us a better person.

REMEMBER please don't Drink and Drive
