I was diagnosed with MS back in about 1992. I have the non progressive type, mine being relapsing/remitting, at times its been really hard as it's so unpredictable. One minute you can be fine and the next you can be laid up in bed, I've had some frightening moments where I've been hospitalised and not been able to respond, not been able to go to work, my children have woken up and not known whether mum is going to be ok or not. Until you or someone you know has this you don't see the impact it can have on someone's life. Although it's been hard at times I count myself as very lucky and fortunate as some types of MS can be thoroughly debilitating and life changing and many people are affected by it at a very young age.
