When our friend Anne said she was running a 10 mile race we thought it would be a great idea to do so too. However, being novice runners we need a bit of an incentive to run!

We will try our very best to run the whole way but we have 2 weeks to train so wish me luck - either way we are determined enough to finish!

The charity that i'm raising money for is the Karen Woo Foundation. A few years ago a British doctor, Karen Woo was killed in Northern Afghanistan delivering aid; it was quite high profile in the news at the time. This was my friend Andy Woo's sister. Since her death he and others have been instrumental in setting up the Karen Woo Foundation which gives grants to health care projects out in Afghanistan- carrying on the passion that Karen had for providing heathcare where it is very limited.
