Supporting those who are struggling during the Coronavirus pandemic.

Story

We had the idea for Sally Ann's Store Cupboard during the Covid 19 pandemic, when, like many other community support agencies, Wood Green Salvation Army had to adapt to identify and meet the new and emerging needs of our community.

Sally Ann's Store Cupboard is basically about receiving donations of food and clothing and then passing these on to those most in need, through our personal contact with Asylum Seekers and other families in our area who attend our centre every week.

Sally Ann's Store Cupboard's clients have been referred to us by local agencies and we help them with food parcels, clothing for adults and children, and essential toiletries.

Our work with Asylum Seekers is particularly needed, given that many of them have do not have the legal right to access public funds like Welfare Benefits, and so have no income.

If you want to help us keep Sally Ann's Store Cupboard stocked, so that we can carry on helping the most needy in our community, then  please donate on this page by clicking on the 'Give Now' button and following the instructions.  However, if you'd rather donate money in person, please email us at wood.green@salvationarmy.org.uk for details.

On behalf of those who really need our Store Cupboard to stay open, please give what you can.  And for whatever you are able to give - we thank you!
