Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Paul was District Commissioner for Romford Scouts for 11 years and Scout Leader of 2nd Romford Scout Group for 35 years.  He died of cancer in August 2012 and was treated by Saint Francis Hospice.

On 6 July 2013, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers, Leaders and other adults of all ages will be walking all or part of a 19 mile route around Romford Scout District to remember Paul and raise money for Saint Francis Hospice.  The walk will take in all 15 Group Headquarters in Romford and finish at Romford District Headquarters.

The hospice provided treatment and support for Paul and his young family in the weeks before his death and have continued to support the family in the months since.  We are hoping to raise as much money as possible to help the hospice support other local families.
