Story

"She had our souls connected by 1,000 thread, and as the lights would form a halo overhead, she built the parts to intertwine our hearts and heads, we know that she won't leave our side." Walking With The Angels - Gideon Taylor

Jen was a beautiful soul. She loved everyone and everything - animals, nature, Bruce Willis, and each and every person that came into her life. She always accepted them with open arms - a trait that always made her stand out to me. She taught me a lot about myself that I didn't even know existed. I was just starting to get to grips with reality when:

On the 29th August 2014, Jen was tragically taken from us due to an epileptic seizure. I received a message  through to my phone telling me the news, and I refused to believe it. I was furious that somebody would have the nerve to play such a prank, so I stormed round to her house and banged upon the door. Her brother, Mike, answered and said "You've heard the news then?" and as I gave Mike a big hug, it was at that moment where clarity struck me. This was real. It wasn't about me anymore. It was how can I help, Carole, Paul and Mike. It was what can we do to prevent this from happening to other families in the future.

I wrote a song for Jen that evening called "Walking With The Angels" - hopefully it gives you guys a little insight into just how much everyone cared about her. If you would like to cover the song, then you are more than welcome to - please direct people towards this page so that hopefully they may give what they can to help prevent such a tragic loss happening to anybody else.

Once again, my deepest sympathies go out to Carole, Paul and Mike, who have frankly handled the entire situation in the best possible way. I love you guys unconditionally.

If you would like to check out the song, you can find it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ReY29W6ltDI

If we could raise £500, then that would be incredible. I have faith that we can do it. Thank you to everybody visiting the page and to all the wonderful people kind enough to donate.

Gideon (in honour of Jen and the rest of the Hobbs family)
