Birmingham Velo
Campaign by Acacia Family Support (RCN 1122831)
A team of us will be taking part in the Birmingham Velo, cycling an incredible 100 miles around the Midlands to raise money for Acacia Family Support.

Story

A few years ago the three of us took up cycling to get fit (and most importantly enjoy a chat along the way!) When the winter kicked in, the novelty passed and our bikes have been stuck in the garage collecting dust ever since...

Then, last year talk of the Velo popped up... in a moment of madness all three of us signed up to take part in this 100 mile race. This is a massive challenge for us - it's the equivalent of riding from Birmingham to London!!!

We have had to put in many hours of training to reach the fitness level we will need for the day, cycling in gruelling winter weather conditions, in the freezing cold and rain.

Why are we doing this? Firstly because we are mad! Secondly because we want to raise money for an incredible charity, Acacia, which helps local families suffering from the effect of pre and post natal depression, bringing them hope in times of darkness. They believe  that no mum should ever suffer alone.

We really appreciate anything you are able to donate and every penny will go towards helping families have a brighter future.

Thank you for your support,

Emily, Kate and Michelle xxx
