I am a cake loving middle aged woman who is not very sporty - running a long distance is a massive challenge for me, one which I hope you will support me in. 

I have seen how vital the role of Parish Nurse in in Broadfield and wanted to help ensure this could continue.  The Parish Nurse compliments the NHS, helping people access health care, working with all ages, teaching, listening, supporting, while encompassing whole person healthcare - body, mind, spiritual health and well being.In the last 6 months people have approached Juliette, the Parish Nurse, on a huge variety of subjects, from how do I potty train my child to I want to kill myself. She has fielded 800 of these questions in the last 2 and a bit years, despite being part time. She is very approachable and people will often check their concerns with her to test whether they are something that needs to be taken to a doctor.Juliette regularly attends toddler groups and organises health education related activities for the children and information for the parents on various topics. She also holds well being sessions in the community centre. Her role is to support individuals in their every day lives, signpost people to the correct service and advocate.
