Although I have not had the misfortune to have needed the Air Ambulance Service myself, a number of my friends and family have not been so lucky. The speed, diligence, and skill of the men and women of the Air Ambulance Service is truly phenomenal, but this does not come without considerable cost.

The Air Ambulance Service does not receive any government funding, and so relies entirely on the generous help and support of its volunteers and the general public.

The gruelling challenge of taking on a marathon is one that most would struggle to do without the knowledge that their efforts were going to help a greater cause, and I am no different. As much as anything it is a mental battle, and so every pound, every penny!, that I can raise to support this most fantastic of charities, will give greater comfort and determination.
