This incredible trek is complete and we made it to Ras Dashen, the top of Ethiopia at 4550m. 

Save the Children in Ethiopia is having a big impact on the health of children from the poorest backgrounds  - nutrition education and gifts of sheep and chickens to vulnerable families - what a difference this makes. From our supermarket world of convenience, it’s hard to imagine the life of someone in poverty in another country.   I hope my pictures help bring this to life, and show you how important your donation is.

Your donation will directly support a baby and mother vaccination programme in the Somali region of Ethiopia which will have a huge impact on health in this region.

I was selected as one of 40 employees from 25 countries, spread across GSK's business, and from all levels of seniority to take on this amazing challenge.

Together we have raised over £250,000 for Save the Children, which will be matched by GSK. 

In March 2019, we spent a life-changing seven days trekking up to the 4,550m peak of Ras Dashen in the stunning Simien Mountains, and then visiting a local community to understand more about Save the Children's work in Ethiopia.
