At Alice's school, the chosen house charity for this year is CWCUK and so we are running the Vitality 1000 (virtual race this year) at the end of May and Half marathon in late June in order to raise money for the charity and also to raise awareness.

Despite Covid restrictions, a number of students the school are participating in sponsored silences, car washes, car boot sales and other fun events in order to do the same. Having researched into some of the work the charity does, it is clear that the support the charity provides is invaluable to families who really need it. We have been fortunate to receive first hand experience and feedback from a student at school who has been receiving support from this charity over the past year during cancer treatment. To see the support for one person alone is enough in encouraging us to raise money for any child out there going through a similar thing.
