I'm running for the charity Tommy's which funds medical research into the causes of premature birth, stillbirth and miscarriage.

Every year one in four women loses a baby during pregnancy or birth. Tommy's research aims to halve this number.

I was born at 28 weeks weighing just 3lbs 2 and was rushed into intensive care. I suffered a collapsed lung and was given a 50% chance of survival. 

I was really lucky and am here to tell the tale, but I want to raise money so more premature babies can survive too.

I am also raising money because a number of people close to me have experienced pregnancies involving a premature birth, stillbirth or miscarriage and I'd like to make sure everything possible is done to help prevent this happening in the future.
