Who are ACE 2 ZAMBIA?

We are a team of six students from the University of Bath's Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering (ACE). We are travelling to Zambia this summer to perform site investigations and construct sport facilities in schools outside Lusaka.

Our Aims..

The construction project is facilitating the work of IDEALS, a UK Sport Programme which aims to establish a high quality, progressive and co-ordinated sports leadership development exchange programme. We will provide much needed sports facilities to enable the excellent work of IDEALS to continue, enhance the lives of the communities and by working with local contractors we will enable a platform of knowledge

What we achieved in previous years...

  • Constructed Zambia's first beach volleyball court to Olympic specifications at the OYDC, we are hoping that athletes from Zambia will compete in the 2020 Olympics.
  • Resurfaced two volleyball pitches in Munali High School.
  • Constructed a new netball court in Mtendere Community School.
  • Performed site investigations to facilitate  subsequent projects.
