Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 5th January 2018 I am heading out with 3 friends to tackle the challenge of a life time. We are trying to ascend the highest mountain outside of Asia - Aconcagua known as the Stone Sentinel.

The 3 week expedition is a huge challenge.

At 6962m high it is a high altitude mountain known for its high winds and sub freezing temperatures. Due to these factors High Altitude Sickness, Hypothermia and Frostbite related injuries are very real risks.

Mountain guides on Aconcagua report that approximately 30% of attempts reach the summit due to the factors above.

We are attempting to ascend the mountain self supported.

We will be sleeping in tents, melting snow for water, living off freeze dried food while trying to overcome huge energy expenditure, lack of appetite, sickness and difficulty sleeping due to the lack of oxygen.

I am trying to raise as much money as possible for a local charity I am hugely passionate about helping - The JPK Project in Eastbourne.

In addition I am trying to raise awareness about the dangers of High Altitude Sickness alongside another local charity -

The JPK Project help provide greater opportunities for people with learning difficulties  - helping them to become more independant and providing accomodation.

Their new headquarters in Eastbourne requires more money so that they can complete the building of accomodation for their tenants.

Tenants will be housed on site and receive the support they need. In addition, tenants who require less support will be housed with support on hand if they need it.

The JPK Project are doing amazing work to help both people with learning difficulties and their families.
